This is a pre-Buescher Elkhart-made alto saxophone, similar to the Buescher True-Tone. Elkhart has no serial number records, but this instrument falls in the time period of 1924-1927, when these horns were made but prior to being purchased by Buescher.
The saxophone is in generally good condition, with decent pads and not too many unusual issues. The neck joint wing nut is slightly bent, but still turns easily, and all keys are functional. Would certainly benefit from a cleaning and overhaul, but it is in acceptable playing condition already. If you have any additional questions, feel free to send us a message!
