This version of the SG puts a new twist on the classic SG body style. The Epiphone SG Modern Figured comes with a resonant mahogany body for a solid sonic foundation. Then, they add a 0.75-inch maple top to the mix, which adds an extra dose of bright trebles and a snappy attack. Finally, the guitar has a AAA flame maple top veneer for attention-demanding good looks. While some might label the construction as slightly unorthodox, there’s no mistake: this guitar sounds absolutely incredible from the second you plug it in.
