From their one-of-a-kind Private Stock custom creations to their SE line, PRS is wholeheartedly dedicated to the idea that superior tonewoods result in superior tone. This SE McCarty 594 more than fulfills that philosophy with a tonewood combination that can trace its lineage all the way back to the early ’50s: maple-topped mahogany. The mahogany forms the core of this guitar’s body, adding heft and weight to your every note; in contrast, the maple top imparts an articulate edge that allows everything from single-note lines to roaring rhythm work to cut right through a band situation.
