This axe’s contoured semi-hollow body is made from laminated maple that produces a bright attack. Instead of passive pickups, this guitar comes loaded with Squier SQR active humbucking pickups. These ceramic pickups pump out cutting highs and warm lows that are perfectly suited to hard rock and metal. The Starcaster’s upgrades don’t stop there, it has a 12-inch fingerboard radius and simplified controls, along with a roasted maple neck and sculpted heel. Updated body construction

The Squier Contemporary Active Starcaster takes its form from the vintage Starcasters of old, with the exception of the F-holes. You’ll love the contoured maple laminate body that resonates extremely well. This guitar is fitted with a “C”-shaped roasted maple neck and 12-inch fretboard radius that’s perfectly suited to almost all playing styles — the sculpted neck heel makes it easier than ever to reach that 22nd fret! Squier SQR ceramic pickups

The Contemporary Starcaster features two active ceramic humbucking pickups that are perfectly suited for crunching rhythms and searing leads. These high-output pickups give you clean highs and a fat, warm low-end. This axe hits your amp hard and sounds great with distortion. The onboard active electronics operate with a single 9-volt battery.
