Only at Sweetwater, this Dove acoustic-electric guitar embodies all that vintage tone, playability, and feel with modern updates to suit today’s discerning players. This Dove features a Sitka spruce top with maple back and sides for punchy treble and rich midrange tone that is balanced, full, and packs serious projection. And when you plug in, LR Baggs VTC electronics deliver stunning amplified acoustic tone. A mahogany neck with stunning rosewood fingerboard offers impeccable playability and response, making this neck ideal for both fingerpicking and flatpicking. Classic Dove detailing includes a bone nut and saddle, double antiqued multi-ply binding, Grover Keystone tuners, a traditional Dove truss rod cover, and the iconic pickguard featuring an inlaid mother-of-pearl dove with hand-engraved and painted embellishments.

This incarnation of the Dove brings you the same square-shoulder design, with a solid Sitka spruce top and maple back and sides. These tonewoods come together and join forces with a longer 25.5-inch scale length to give the Dove a crisp, bold tonality that cuts through the track and works beautifully in countless musical situations. The guitarists at Sweetwater know how important playability is, and no Dove goes out the door without the famed Plek-assisted setup, offering you great action, spot-on intonation, and a buzz-free instrument that is just about perfect.

The Dove comes with LR Baggs’s VTC acoustic pickup system. This system features a low-profile under-saddle transducer that’s proven more stable and durable than many standard ribbon-type pickups. Its sleek and effective design removes unnecessary internal components to enhance the coupling between the pickup and the guitar and improve the sensitivity of the transducer for a robust, lively, and natural acoustic sound with excellent dynamics and delicate high end. Combined with an onboard preamplifier with an unobtrusive and a removable volume control mounted just inside the soundhole, the VTC gives your Dove a pure-sounding amplification presence.
