Description
October 1963 Rickenbacker 425 in 100% original unmolested condition. All factory solder joints. As Beatle people know Harrison had a ’62 Fireglo 425 that he bought in Sept. ’63 and immediately had it painted black to match Lennon’s. In ’62 & ’63 Rickenbacker built these with gorgeous dark fretboards, square neck heel, toaster with 4 small circle stamps, metal tip 2-way tone toggle, hexagon tuner ferrules, slotted screws (non-phillips) on the nameplate and no “Made in USA” below the logo. All details that were changed in ’64 and until the end of production. The Fireglo on this one is stunning. Rickenbacker only produced 104 of these in ’62 and 168 in ’63 so there aren’t a lot of opportunities to find one in all original condition and with all the correct “Harrison” appointments. Includes original hard shell case as well!
